From a young age, Scarlett Johansson always had an interest in acting. As a child, she had her first introduction to the camera by auditioning for commercials and as she got older she continued to nurture her craft. The multifaceted actress got her first big gig acting in the off-Broadway production Sophistry. She eventually made her movie debut in the 1994 film North, but the breakout role that truly began her rise to stardom came from her portrayal as Amanda in the 1996 film Manny Lo. It was from there that she became the recognizable star she is still known as today.
